The photo below is an absolute classic moment of being in the right place at the right time with a camera. Here I'm pictured with my son Noah on his tenth birthday. The expression on my face captured my SHOCK, realising that he had just blown out his candles while no one was looking and without first making a wish.
So things don't always work out how we'd planned. What can you do? Really all you can do is try to move on.
I have to to admit to feeling embarrassed and disappointed that I'm not further ahead with my business. It's been almost year since I made the decision to expand my horizons and start working with women in need of marketing advice. It's been a year of ups and downs, changes in plans, flip flopping and a lot of procrastination.
On the plus side I feel the experience of not moving as quickly as expected has given me a deeper sense of empathy towards women with young families, aging parents, outside work commitments and just responsibilities in general. It's huge!
Despite my lack of speed I have remained absolutely committed to helping and being of service to women. I'm more certain than ever of the skills I have to share, it's just a matter of finding the best way to do that! I hope you'll stick with me.
